Note: The treatments mentioned below are covered by your medical benefits & Alberta Health.
Chronic headaches, migraines, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) issues can interfere with employment, relationships, and quality of life. Geographically, Calgary, Cochrane, and surrounding areas have been shown to have a higher incidence of these conditions. There are now various safe and effective options to help treat and relieve these symptoms, including abortive and preventative medications, supplements, Botox injections, and biological agents. At Synergy, these agents can be complemented with an integrative approach where psychological, musculoskeletal, and functional contributions are also addressed.
BOTOX TREATMENT ®
BOTOX® Migraine injections can reduce your migraines’ frequency, duration, and intensity by 80% by the third treatment.

How does Aimovig work?
In your body you have CGRP (calcitonin gene-related peptide) and CGRP receptors. CGRP attaches to and activates the receptor, which may play a key role in migraines. Aimovig blocks the CGRP receptor so that CGRP cannot attach to it. Aimovig is the first and only migraine preventive treatment designed to block the CGRP receptor.
