
Our lives are busy and there are many distractions. We are used to living in the virtual reality of our thinking minds, to one degree or other, and we go through life unconsciously. Unconsciousness lies at the root of our challenges.
The first step in our healing is mindfulness. This means learning to slow down and be present in our bodies and in our environment. We can learn to do this by tracking sensation in the body. By slowing down and facing emotion instead of running away from it. By noticing what we feel, how we react to that, and what the triggers are.
Part of this learning process is experiencing how the mind, heart, and body each have their own way of relating to the world and communicating. They each are worlds unto themselves. We will explore and get to know these different worlds. We will experience how they interact, and how they are in conflict with each other.
